Movie Plot:

Mike Maquinna returns to his hometown for his father’s funeral, but intends to return to his job as a logger in Bella Coola rather than claim his position as Chief of the First Nations group. At the same time, a lone Orca whale named Luna has become a sensation in the community, but the Department of Fisheries & Oceans wants to capture and reunite her with her pod, causing tension between the DFO, Mike’s band, and local DFO officer Jill Mackay
