Plot for the movie:

While working in the cellars of a hotel, Donge discovers the body of a wealthy client, Mrs. Petersen. Through Maigret’s investigation, it is revealed that Teddy, the son of Mrs. Petersen, is actually Donge’s biological child and there is a question of who will gain custody of the boy. Maigret solves both the mystery surrounding the murder and the emotional dilemma of Teddy’s future.
