Plot for the movie:

In 2002, a series of natural disasters and the resulting state of emergency in Japan leads to the country being split into North and South, governed by China and the USA respectively. 15 years later, tensions arise between Japanese refugees living in Taiwan and native Taiwanese citizens, and Genichiro Ryu, a survivor of the disasters, becomes involved in promoting coexistence between the two groups.
