Plot for the movie:

A book salesman convinces Blondie Bumstead that her son, Baby Dumpling, is a child prodigy, while Dagwood Bumstead faces job troubles and tries to get a wealthy man to sign off on changes to an apartment building project. Meanwhile, Baby Dumpling’s dog is taken by the dog-catcher and adopted by a wealthy girl, leading to suspicions of kidnapping and Dagwood’s arrest.
