Movie Plot:

Antonio, a wealthy merchant, becomes depressed but his friend Bassanio tells him about his love for Portia. Portia’s father has set a challenging condition for her marriage and when Bassanio needs money to court her, Antonio borrows it from a vengeful money-lender, Shylock. When Antonio’s business fails, Shylock’s conditions put his life at risk and Bassanio and Portia must rescue him.
