Movie Plot:

Henry Burrows, a shy office worker, comes home to find a strange woman, Joan Rankin, in his apartment pretending to be sick. When he goes to get help, he learns that a mobster has been killed outside his door and the police suspect him of being involved. Confused and afraid, Henry assumes they are referring to Joan, not realizing they are talking about a different woman.
