The story of The Eloquent Peasant, a renowned literary work from the Middle Kingdom period in Egypt, follows the journey of a peasant named Khun-anup who is wrongly accused of theft and must use his eloquent speech to petition for justice. The story takes place between 2160 and 2025 BC and ultimately ends with the peasant’s goods being returned after nine petitions.
