Movie Plot:

In “Scherzo alla polacca”, a clever man initially tries to avoid participating in the Warsaw uprising during World War II, but eventually becomes a hero and finds a reason to fight. In the second novel, “Ostinato lugubre”, a man tries to escape from a prison camp due to his frustration with professional soldiers. His successful escape boosts the morale of his fellow prisoners, but he must stay hidden from both Germans and fellow prisoners.
