Movie Plot:

A film about King Ludwig’s relationship with actor Josef Kainz during a cruise in 1881, where Kainz is asked to recreate his theatre characters at the locations around the lake. Kainz is initially excited to personally accompany the king but is surprised to learn that he was invited for his roles, not as himself.
