Movie Plot:

The film follows Otsuta, the owner of a geisha house in Tokyo who is in a lot of debt, and her daughter Katsuyo who is not optimistic about the future of the geisha trade. Despite this, Otsuta remains determined to keep her business running as it gives a glimpse into the daily life of geishas outside of entertaining customers.
