Movie Plot:

A young prisoner, Maruska, awaits her execution in a Polish prison at the end of 1942. During the ninety nine days of grace granted by the Nazis, Maruska secretly records her memories and thoughts on the tin soldiers she paints, hoping to smuggle them to her loved ones. Her experiences are later reflected upon.
