Movie Plot:

Bright detective Dave charges one of notorious criminal J. C. Owen’s henchmen with robbery, only to have Owen hire shady lawyer Raymond Cortell as the defense. Dave’s fiancee Mary uses Cortell’s slimy tactics to win the case, but her actions lead to her father being shot and she ultimately realizes the error of her ways. The criminal and his crooked lawyer are arrested, Dave’s dad recovers from his injuries, and Mary and Dave’s relationship is saved.
