Movie Plot:

In a 17th-century Danish village, a young widow falls in love with the pastor’s son while an old woman is being accused of witchcraft and ultimately burned at the stake. When the young widow confesses the affair to her husband, he dies and the pastor’s mother denounces her as a witch. The young widow now faces the possibility of being condemned by her community for her actions and wonders if her lover will stand up for her.
