Movie Plot:

The film is about the German occupation of Rome and the Italian resistance during the end of World War II. It covers a two-year period and focuses on the trial of Pietro Caruso, who was responsible for the Ardeatine massacre of 300 prisoners in retaliation for a partisan attack.
