Movie Plot:

Albert Hauptmann, a former waiter who is mistaken for a Nazi Captain, uses the confusion to his advantage and becomes a successful Director and Parliament member. However, when the real Captain discovers the ruse, he waits for the right moment to reveal his identity and reclaim his position, leading to a complicated legal situation for Albert.
