The Northwest Broadcasting Corporation creates a new network, True TV, to broadcast the unedited life of a chosen Average Joe or Jane. When they find their subject, Ed Pekurny, the network is rebranded as EdTV and becomes a success, although issues arise as the cameras continue to roll and the network’s president manipulates Ed for more salacious TV.
