Movie Plot:

The plot follows the lives of a peasant family in rural France after World War 2, as they experience the changing seasons and challenges of life. Through electricity and education, their lives are slowly improving but they still rely heavily on religion. The death of the father and the departure of the youngest son represent the natural cycle of life, with the eldest son continuing in his father’s footsteps while the youngest moves on to build a new home.
