Movie Plot:

The plot follows the story of Mortimer Granville, a doctor in the late 1800s, who starts working with Dr. Dalrymple and helps relieve female patients’ hysteria with pelvic massages. However, after developing a carpal injury from the constant massaging, Mortimer is forced to leave his job but finds success as an inventor of the vibrator and falls in love with Emily’s sister, Charlotte, who is a suffragette.
