Movie Plot:

The plot follows two children, Liam and Teresa, as they navigate the challenges of xenophobia, religious prejudice, mob violence, and poverty during the Depression in Liverpool. Liam’s first Holy Communion and Teresa’s job as a maid for a Jewish family are intertwined with the lady of the house’s affair. As their father is influenced by fascist ideologies and tensions rise, a Molotov cocktail ultimately becomes the catalyst for a dramatic climax.
