Movie Plot:

In 1952, Bishop Bilodeau visits a Québecois prison to hear the confession of a childhood friend who has been imprisoned for murder for 40 years. The inmates force the Bishop to watch a play that depicts events from their past, including the Bishop’s attempt to convince his friend to join the seminary, and the love triangle between his friend, a wealthy and eccentric young man, and a visiting Parisian woman.
