Movie Plot:

A middle-aged Italian man tells his love story to a Russian man aboard a ship in the early 20th century. He falls in love with a Russian woman while on a visit to a spa and pursues her, eventually deciding to leave his wife and marry her. The Russian man listening is amazed and narrates his own shorter story.
