Movie Plot:

The Sakurada Gate Incident is a historical drama about a group of samurai from Mito Domain who are ordered to assassinate the Tairo Ii Naosuke for signing treaties with the Americans without Imperial consent, leading to a conflict with the Bakufu government and ultimately, a bloody sword battle. The protagonist, Seki Tetsunosuke, is tasked with recording the Tairo’s death but ends up fighting for his own survival and honoring the sacrifice of his fellow Mito clans
