Movie Plot:

The plot follows Ray Sturgis, a leader of the fashionable jazz scene in Long Island, and his fiancée “Egypt” Hagen who is arrested at a roadhouse raid. A conflict arises when Ray wears a costume of newspaper headlines about Egypt’s arrest to a fancy-dress ball, causing her to be offended.
