The plot follows Juana Romero, a seamstress in Buenos Aires, as she falls in love with a singer who resembles Argentina’s famous tango singer, Carlos Gardel. Her obsession with Gardel’s music eventually leads the couple on a tumultuous tour, causing them to break up. However, fate brings them back together in unexpected ways.
