Tobe Hooper, a filmmaker, was heavily influenced by horror films from Hammer Films and watched at least two films a day while growing up in motels, hotels, and movie theaters. His film THE HEISTERS, restored from a 35mm print, is a psychedelic parody of those iconic British horror films and was made while Hooper was a student at University of Texas.
