Movie Plot:

During Prohibition in Kansas City, jazz was the popular music. In the late 1970s, musicians from the Pendergast era, including members of the Blue Devils, Bennie Moten’s band, and Count Basie’s Orchestra, gathered at a union hall to play and reminisce, joined by Basie himself and other notable musicians such as Big Joe Turner and Jay McShann.
