Movie Plot:

In Austria in the 1930s, Maria becomes a governess for Captain Von Trapp and his children and brings joy into their lives while also falling in love with the Captain, despite his engagement to a Baroness. However, their personal conflicts are soon overshadowed by the threat of Germany taking control of Austria and the Captain being forced to fight against his own country.
