Plot for the movie:

Victoria, a young woman controlled by her mother and her unpleasant companion, refuses to let them rule in her uncle’s place. She meets her German cousin Albert, who is initially only interested in her for political reasons, but unexpectedly falls in love with her. Despite her loyalty to Prime Minister Melbourne, who she sees as a selfish leader, Victoria is impressed by Albert’s philanthropic nature and eventually marries him. He helps her regain her confidence and becomes a driving force for much-needed reform.
