Movie Plot:

A successful novel, ‘The Whirlwind’, is written by a mystery author, and its film adaptation rights are sold by agent Carol Ainsley. Henry Pepper, a magazine editor, is assigned to write a profile on Carol but she becomes reluctant to reveal her working methods. In the process of casting for the film, Carol believes the author behind the pen name would be perfect for the lead role, leading to unexpected consequences and challenges with Henry watching over her actions.
